"How are you doing lately?"

"Just miming away my life. Pushing up
against these invisble walls that shrink
my world small, so small. Trapped
in the frame of an old photograph,
where all my edges are frayed, aged,
a little worn with time. But time,
time don't mean a thing. Not to someone
like me."

And if I was a different sort of girl, like the one
you used to know, I might say all that and more,
much more.

But she is gone,
and in her place is the one
who smiles, drops her eyes,
lets the truth fall between the lines.

"How are you doing lately?"

"Fine...fine."

i like it alot!! i can kinda relate to it alot this is the part i loved "But time, time don't mean a thing. Not to someone like me" also the ending but also kinda leaves me with the feeling of kinda well giving up in a way. anyways dont know if u care or not but i found my oldest poem today when i was clearing off my old comp somehow i still had it its kinda dumb but hey it was the first thing i ever wrote so lol. but sadly its my fav still. anyways here u go
Following the dreams of yesterday in a quest for tomorrow a path was chosen into the dawn of today. A gateway opens into a place neither good nor evil but of both in equality and chaotic conversion or so it is suppose to be, but after time things change. Time is without meaning. All destines are without limits. All life begins with a night becoming day. Men set aside their hearts and play on their fears, all love is seemingly remorseful in this world of tormented souls. Happiness but the gate, life but the way. Love is the key… to open the doors of fate. On this day called tomorrow.

The first peom I wrote is laughable, especially compared to the complexities of that piece, Master Swav. It seems even at the start of your poetry career you were weaving meaning and depth into your words.

I really liked this part
Happiness but the gate, life but the way.

Swinging by from the Carnival.

I am very attracted to this poem, the way you have described a life once lived that has shrunk and become something else.

I'm fine, just fine.

A melancholy theme depicting how an aging life finally gets to the point of having seen it all with nothing left but a shrug for the outside world, but brimming deep within. Am I rambling?

I like the line about truth falling between the lines.
